Kelly Sills

Serial entrepreneur Kelly Sills is a graduate of Louisiana State University (LSU), with a MBA from the same flagship institution.  He has embraced his entrepreneurial spirit in a number of ways since earning his bachelor’s and master’s degrees. His companies maintain a focus on sustainability as well as organizational diversity and equality.

Kelly Sills is honoring the entrepreneurial ways of those who came before with Coastal Bridge. He takes pride in continuing the tradition of hard work established by the family of his friend, neighbor and owner of the company, who hired him when he was just 17 years old. After that initial introduction to the company at his young age, he never stopped working for Coastal Bridge, working the summers as a laborer during high school and his college career and then becoming a fulltime employee after completion of his undergraduate degree from LSU. He is deeply honored to carry on his neighbor’s legacy and the traditions of a family that helped build southern Louisiana.

In addition to residential and commercial site development, and site preparation for underground sewer and utilities, Coastal Bridge has built the roads and bridges that connect families, allow for people to get to work, to visit – and live in – the beautiful places of southern Louisiana. The coast and the swamplands, the prairies, the alluvial lands and the uplands are accessible thanks to Coastal Bridge. Not only that, but the company’s efforts contribute to the vital infrastructure of the nation and to the safety of southern Louisiana residents and visitors.

The company has also also discovered and embraced highly specialized construction areas like Industrial Plant Services and Commercial Civil Construction. Change naturally occurs with time – the  company evolved: splitting and regrouping and then expanding. The focus on quality, safety and community responsibility has never been lost.

When Kelly Sills is not running one of his companies, he is volunteering. His focus on community service involves helping with youth sports, particularly his son’s baseball team.

Kelly Sills believes character building programs are essential for guiding the next generation. He also volunteers with the homeless and any other avenues for community service he might find. In his rare down time, he embraces his appreciation of the outdoors – usually by boating and fishing with his family.
